NEW for 2021 - 2022

  • Super Clinic (4 and 5 year olds) -
This program is targeted for the little ones new to the soccer world. The first three (3) weeks the kids are broken up into small groups and the sessions are led by instructors. The final three (3) weeks we will have volunteers over see modified games! The sessions will be on Sunday's in January and February. This is open to kids that are 4 and 5; they must have turned 4 by August 1st 2021.
  • High School CO-ED
Our league is about FUN but this program in particular has even a great empasis on that. There is no tournament in this program; no medals for going 8-0 :)

Just something fun for the big kids to do with their classmates / friends through the winter.

Games will be played in the later part of the evening (@ 8pm) on rotating days; Tuesday, Thursday or Friday.

This program will honor all team mate requests! So, if you want to play with your friends this is the program for you!

You can register individually and then request a particular team. Send an email to HickoryIndoorSoccer@gmail.com with such request
If you have a 'team' already together contact HickoryIndoorSoccer@gmail.com for the team registration portal.

"Co-Ed" - The format will be five (5) on the field plus a goalie; there must be at least two (2) girls on the field at all times.

Age Groups

The age determination date is August 1st for all age groups except the 5-6 Co-ed.  For 5-6 Co-ed, a child must be 5 years old before December 1, 2018.  No exceptions.

5-6 Co-ed

7-8 Boys

9-10 Boys

11-12 Boys

13-14 Boys

15-17 Boys

High School Co-ed

7-8 Girls

9-10 Girls

11-12 Girls

13-14 Girls

15-17 Girls

The 5-6 Co-ed age group is more clinic oriented.  Each session is split between practice time and game time.  For children who have played this format previously and are ready for a full game, parents may choose the 7-8 age group.  Just remember the size difference between a 6 year old and an 8-9 year old.  Once you have selected an age group, you can move your child to another age group only if there is space available in that age group.

Time and Place

The program will begin in mid November/early December and will run through mid-March 2019 (Dates are dependent on age group).  All games for the 5-6, 7-8, 9-10, and 11-12 age groups are played at the Forest Hill/Hickory Activities Center on Commerce Road in Forest Hill, MD.  Games for the 13-14 and 15-17 age groups are played at the Harford Sports Performance Center at 121 Industry Lane in Forest Hill, MD.

Each age group meets only 1 day a week.  There is no practice day and game day like outdoor soccer.  Generally, the first TWO (2) weeks of the season are practice sessions.  After that, the regular season games begin.  No standings are kept.  There will also be an end-of-season tournament for all age groups except the 5-6 Co-ed.  The tournament is based on a random draw match-up.

Preliminarily, the different age groups will play as follows:

  • The 5-6 teams will play on Sunday afternoon (Saturday is possible as an overflow day if needed).
  • The 7-8 and 9-10 teams will play on Thursday or Friday evenings, or Saturday.
  • The 11-12 Boys teams will play on Monday or Tuesday evenings.
  • The 11-12 Girls teams will play on Tuesday evenings.
  • The 13-14 teams will play on Monday or Thursday or Friday evenings.
  • The 15-17 teams will play on Friday evenings.
  • The High School Co-Ed teams will play on Tuesday, Thursday or Friday evenings.

**These days are subject to change based upon registration response and field availability.

Some age groups play on various nights and rotate what night they will play. If the age group shows varying nights it is not possible to be on a team that only plays on one of those nights.

Teams are formed by age group and a selection process via a 'draft' conducted by coaches in early November. During the registration process, requests may be made but the program can not guarantee any request (other than siblings if they were in the same age group). An emphasis on parity amongst the teams is placed during the draft. Every effort is made to balance the teams accordingly to the benefit of everyone in the league.

The High School Co-Ed league 'team registrations' is allowed . Players must still register individually but in the comments section they should indicate what team they are registering for. This is the only age group that allows team registrations

Equipment Needed

All players will need shin guards, soccer socks to cover the shin guards, soccer ball, sneakers (regular tennis shoes) or an indoor soccer shoe (no shoes with spikes/cleats), and lots of water for each session. Indoor soccer is a much faster paced game.

Game Balls:

Ages 5-6                             # 3 ball
Ages 7-8, 9-10                     # 4 ball
Ages 11-12, 13-14, 15-17     # 5 ball
